Bishop Robert M. Moskal

Bishop Robert M. Moskal [Москaль], (b. October 24, 1937, in Carnegie, PA; d. August 7, 2022, in Parma, OH). As a teenager, he sang in the choir of his hometown parish Holy Trinity UCC, which at that time was under the direction of Walter Daniels (Danylchuck). He was ordained into the priesthood in 1963 and worked as secretary at the Archbishop’s Chancery in Philadelphia, PA. Also at that time, he was charged with forming a new Ukrainian Catholic parish in Warrington, PA, thirty miles from Philadelphia. He carried out this assignment while commuting to work daily at the chancery and studying music at the Philadelphia Musical Academy and the Conservatory of Music. He was elevated to Bishop in 1981.
