Theodore Kaskiw [Теодор Касків], (b. May 17, 1878, in Pidhayci, Ukraine; d. 1973 in New Jersey). He came to America in 1903 and directed at churches in Pennsylvania (McKeesport and Carnegie) and later in Connecticut (Ansonia). In 1909, he became the choir director and school teacher at St. John’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Newark, NJ, and served that parish until he retired in October of 1956.
