Rev. Peter Romanyshyn [Всч. о. Петро Романишин], (b. Oct. 2, 1910, in Staryi Myliatyn [Старий Милятин, Львівська область]; d. 1989 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.) Ordained in Lviv on May 12, 1935. Studied music at the conservatory in Vienna and earned a master’s degree in church music (Berlin, 1944). Served for a time at DP Camp Ohio, in Burgdorf, Germany. Immigrated to Canada in 1949, and served in Shoal Lake, Menzie, Birtle, and Solsgirth. Transferred in 1965 to St. Josaphat in Winnipeg. Earned a doctoral degree (Ukrainian Free University, Munich, 1980).
