Zakhar Kurdynovsky [Захар Курдиновський], (b. 1863 in Lutenski Budyshcha, Poltava; d. 1942 in Kyiv), pedagogue and composer. He was educated at the local Theological Academy, and he was trained in music theory and composition. He composed both secular and sacred works which were performed by several choirs in Poltava, most notably the choir of the “Prosvita” Society and the choir at Ascension Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.
