Rev. Ivan Danylevich

Rev. Ivan Danylevich [о. Івaн Дaнилевич], (b. February 24, 1914, in Volyn, Ukraine; d. October 16, 1992, in Boston, MA). Father Danylevich, who was born in 1914 in Volyn, came from a long line of distinguished Orthodox clergy. He left his homeland in 1949 and came to America, where he was assigned to parishes in Bakerton-Elmora, PA, Dixonville, PA, and Herkimer, NY. Then, he was sent to Boston’s Holy Trinity parish in 1952 to replace the outgoing pastor, Fr. Eugene Korolyshyn. Two years later, Holy Trinity merged with a nearby church and was renamed St. Andrew’s. Father Ivan served the new congregation up until his transfer to New York City in 1969. He died on October 16, 1992, and is buried in St. Andrew Cemetery in South Bound Brook, NJ.
