Demetrius Kostrubiak

Demetrius Kostrubiak [Дмитро Кострубяк], (b. October 27, 1919, in the village of Kolenna (Volyn oblast), Ukraine; d. April; 16, 1995, in Baltimore, MD). Former choir director at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland. In the years following the Second World War, he lived at a DP camp in Germany. He immigrated to America in 1950 and settled in Baltimore, where he joined the staff at Baltimore’s Sinai Hospital. In 1967, he became the third choirmaster in the history of St. Michael’s Church, succeeding Professors Ivan Boyko (1912-1958) and Ivan Seniuta (1958-1966). He is buried at St. Michael’s parish cemetery in Dundalk, Maryland.
