
Konstantin Orlyk [Константін Орлик], (born Konstantin Schyt [Щит] in 1897 in Merefa, Ukraine; died in 1966 in Detroit, Michigan). He studied at the Kyiv Conservatory where he met Oleksandr Koshetz, who later invited him to join the Ukrainian National Chorus. Orlyk sang tenor in the chorus during their tour of Europe and the Americas (1921-26). After the tour, Orlyk remained in the U.S. and worked with a number of choirs in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan.
