Joseph Panasenko

Joseph Panasenko [Йосип Пaнaсенко], (b. March 31, 1889 in Ukraine; d. September 7, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan ). Bandurist, singer, and historian. Panasenko was associated with the early bandura ensembles in Poltava and Kyiv going back to the 1920s. He was an active member of the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus [Українська Капеля Бандуристів ім. Т. Г. Шевченка] when the Capella came to America in 1949.
