Alexander Pryshlak

Alexander Pryshlak [Олесь Пришляк], (b. August 30, 1924, in Zastawcze, Ternopil, Ukraine; d. July 21, 2011, in Hartford, Connecticut). Choir director for fifty years at St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hartford, Connecticut. He was born in 1924 in Zastawcze, Ternopil oblast, Ukraine. In 1950, he immigrated to the United States and joined St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hartford, Connecticut, where he directed the church choir and the parish’s concert choir “Dibrova.” He also worked as a teacher of church music and singing at the Stamford Theological Seminary in Stamford, CT.
