Rev. Peter Romanyshyn [о. Петро Романишин], (b. Oct. 2, 1910, in Mylatyn Stary, Zolochiv province; d. 1989 in Winnipeg, Man.) Ordained in Lviv in May 12, 1935. Served for a time in Burgdorf, Germany. Studied music at the conservatory in Vienna. Earned a master’s degree in church music (Berlin, 1944). Came to Canada in 1949. Served in Shoal Lake, Menzie, Birtle, and Solsgirth. Transferred in 1965 to St. Josaphat in Winnipeg. Earned a doctoral degree (Ukrainian Free University, Munich, 1980).
