Rev. Zenon Kyrylovych

Rev. Zenon Kyrylovych [о. Зенон Кирилович], (b. August 23, 1855, in Voislavychi, Lviv, Ukraine; d. February 17, 1919, in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine). Composer and church figure in the UGCC. Kyrylovych was born and educated in Western Ukraine (Halychyna). He completed his studies at the Lviv Theological Seminary in 1891, and became a Catholic priest. He was also one of the early conductors of the “Boyan” Choir in Kolomyia. After he passed away in 1919, he was succeeded in that post by Roman Stavnychiy.
