Cynthia Mycyk

Cynthia Mycyk [Мицик], (b: April 30, 1948, in Clifton, NJ; d: 2020 in Ambridge, PA), church choir director and wife of Father Omelan Mycyk. She was born into a musical family. Her uncle was Rev. Stephen Hallick, who was a great promoter of church music. She married Omelan Mycyk, who later became a priest; and in 1971, the couple was assigned to the parish of St. George in Minersville, Pennsylvania, where Cynthia became the director of the church choir. From there, she accompanied her husband as he was transferred in the 1980s to Youngstown, OH (SS. Peter and Paul) and then to Ambridge, PA (St. Vladimir). In 1991, she started at SS. Peter and Paul in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, and continued there as director until around 2002.
