Rev. Eugene Narushevych [o. Євген Нaрyшевич], (b. March 3, 1917, in village of Тотовичaх, Volyn, Ukraine; d. May 30, 1991, in Indiana, PA). Directed choirs in German DP camps. Came to America in 1949. Directed choirs in Youngstown, Milwakee, Cleveland, and Rochester. Served in Minersville, Pennsylvania (St. George UOC) from 1962 to 1967, and later in Herkimer, New York (St. Mary’s Protectress UOC), where he worked with choir director Demian Karmaluk. Fr. Narushevych is buried in St. Andrew’s Cemetery in South Bound Brook, NJ.
