Stephen Hrabar

Stephen Hrabar [Стефaн Грaбaр], (b: Jan. 5, 1890 in Butyny [Бути́ни–Львівської області]; d: Aug. 1974 in Perth Amboy, NJ), choir director at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He came to America in 1911 and served at several parishes in different Pennsylvania and New Jersey communities: Mount Carmel (SS. Peter and Paul), West Easton (Holy Ghost), Passaic (St. Nicholas), and Perth Amboy (Assumption). He passed away in 1974 and is buried at Assumption Cemetery in Perth Amboy.

1918: St. Mary’s Greek Catholic Church, Perth Amboy, NJ.

1920s: Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, West Easton, PA.

1940s-’50s: Assumption, Perth Amboy, NJ.
