Gregory Hallick

Gregory Hallick [Григорій Галик-Голутяк], (b. 1953 in Rhode Island; d. Aug. 13, 2025, Los Angeles, CA), choirmaster at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Los Angeles, California, and the director (since 1985) of the “Kobzar” Ukrainian National Choir of Los Angeles. He received musical training in theory and composition at West Chester State Teacher’s College in eastern Pennsylvania, and studied conducting with Volodymyr Kolesnyk, Volodymyr Bozhyk, Petro Kondratenko, and Dymtro Yakubenko. He is buried in St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in South Bound Brook, New Jersey.
