Archdeacon Paul Pushkarenko [о. Протодиякон Павло Пушкаренко], (b. Dec. 22, 1901, north of Peremyshl in the village of Michałówka, Poland; d. May 21, 1981, in New York City.), choir director at St. Sophia UOC, Bayonne, NJ. (ca. 1952-1975). He came to America after the Second World War and resided in New York City. From 1951 to 1975, he commuted to the church in Bayonne to direct the choir there. He is buried at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Cemetery in South Bound Brook, New Jersey.
